  2. That’s the charm of blogging. As long as we enjoy it, let’s do it and don’t stress. Best wishes 😀

  3. I think along those lines myself. I don’t profit from my videos or blog, though I pay US$300 a year for WordPress, thanks to how many photos I attach to my posts.

  4. Copyrights and image protection rights are very complex and formulated differently in each country. As we delve into them, we will become paranoid and will have a fear of taking the camera out of the bag. We photograph and film for our own pleasure and share our work with friends. Our duty is to make sure that our fun does not hurt others. Copyrights and consents to use someone else’s image should be guarded by professionals who profit from it.

  5. I did read lots of the terms before I started using it, but i doubt I read the copyright business because I had no sense I’d need to be concerned about that since my material was uniquely mine. It hadn’t occurred that sampled music might fit the definition of misuse. Little did I know!

  6. You Tube was well protected. Anyone who publishes anything on their website must declare that they have read the terms and conditions, and that they will comply with the copyright rules. If not, it will suffer the consequences.
It is different if you use the share option, as Youtube allows it. As soon as someone raises any objections, the sharing link will be deactivated.
Thank you for the sent link to the Kevin MacLeod website :)
Interesting free or licensed music can also be downloaded from https://www.jamendo.com/

  7. That makes sense. On the other hand, I’d think that would make legal problems for YouTube for uneven application of their policies on copyright. After I hit their copyright wall, I did view their video and materials on this, and they are very useful. Besides, because of that, I looked in the the copyright-free materials put out by Kevin MacLeod, and found them superior to the free music you can edit with that’s provided by YouTube. The music on this particular video, though, was YouTube and predates me finding Kevin’s music. While you don’t have to pay to use it (other than attach a credit), you have the option of a free will payment that helps him out. I sent him the money, I was so happy to avoid the copyright issues! Even then, when I used a classical piece that he re-orchestrated, the copyright police had s-[fits and threatened to take me to hell and back until I pointed out it was a Kevin MacLeod piece that he re-orchestrated, so take your dumb ass threats to him. Which they did, of course, then had to back down. His original compositions are excellent anyway.

  8. It is the viewers who report to YouTube that the video presented on the website infringes the copyright. After such notification, the procedure for determining the violation and possible further actions begins.

  9. Incredible! That confirms my sense that there is not one person or policy on YouTube when it comes to copyrighted material.

  10. Charming 😀 I did a photo show once and put Ron Carter’s music in the background (with a wonderful improvisation on a double bass). After some time, YouTube pointed out to me that the music used was copyrighted, but there was no requirement for the film to be edited or other actions to be taken. A friend of mine posted a photo of one of the old masters from the Internet on her blog and she had serious legal problems. Luckily, it just ended up having to close the blog.

  11. The ones that truly amaze me are complete movies or operas. I once ran into copyright issues and a serious threat from the YouTube copyright police when I posted a short video of one of my kitty boys making a grand entrance into the room. I happened to have a CD of Louie „Satchmo” Armstrong’s Hot Fives and Sevens ensembles p0playing in the background. Though these tunes were recorded in the late 1920s and were long out of copyright as far as the original performers (mostly dead by then anyway) were concerned, the new copyright was not on the tunes but the tunes as enhanced by new technology! I pulled the video down and re-edited it with music from a service that provided copyright-free music for nothing more than a credit and, if you wished, a small donation. It still was cute, but that Dixieland Jazz entry was so much cuter, if accidental! The kitty – Andy – just had his first haircut at a gro9omer’s, and was uncooperative when she got to his legs, so he has a Jennifer Grey in Footloose look!

  12. It is indeed so. Some videos disappear from YouTube after a few years, and they are marked with copyright infringement. Everything probably depends on the chosen sharing option (public or private). The good thing is that thanks to the „sluggishness” of the watchmen, we can listen and watch for free 😉

  13. There are a surprising number of excellent music videos on YouTube. The copyright police must have a great time policing these postings, though.

  14. It is certainly what you say, to hear it in St Bartholomew the Great, London would be an indescribable experience. I am grateful to TENEBRAE for making this video available on YOUTUBE.

  15. It must be a profound experience to hear this in real life, with the placement of the singers apart. It gave me goose bumps even hearing it just this way!
