  2. Yes, the wars did terrible things and caused so many to have to leave their home. (my grandparents came from South Russia for that very reason and built a good life in Canada.) Your pictures are wonderful.

  3. They gained in Canada better conditions to the life. Unfortunately through Poland always rolled by all war-storms and for many ages Poland was captivated by invaders. The emigration was not a form of the choice, but with the necessity.

  4. I can see why the Polish immigrants from the early part of the last century felt so at home on the Canadian prairies. The landscape is very similar. They played a huge part in building our country.
